Best Lobster Rolls in Maine and New Hampshire

Finding the "best" lobster roll in Maine (or coastal New England) requires a bit of an explanation of my definition.

First, let me share my criteria for the “perfect lobster roll.” Obviously, fresh lobster is key. It’s still a surprise when frozen lobster is used in New England.

Question:  Phyllis asks:  I understand that Maine has the best lobsters.  Is this true?  If yes, where should I go for them if I fly into Portland, Maine.  If not, where are they, and where should I go?  This is one of those extravagant trips like the commercial where the guy drives his car to Maine or somewhere just for the chowder.  I’d like to go in June unless you feel I can get better lobsters at another time of year.
