Question: H. Cole asks: I'll be driving west on I-90 and I-80 with a diesel car. I would like to know before I leave where all the diesel fuel stations are. Where can I find that info?
Answer: Candy Christman, AAA Publishing communications manager says: You can use
TripTik Travel Planner to find more than 100,000 U.S. gas station locations and prices. This online planning tool shows full-color maps of your trip, along with where to find gasoline stations and information from AAA TourBook guides on hotels, attractions, and restaurants. Just click the Show button to display the icons and zoom in to see them. Move your cursor over a ‘Gas’ icon to see station details including address and fuel prices.
The fuel feature shows the date then indicated prices were last updated. Fuel prices will display when the Oil Price Information Service (OPIS) has provided data over the last seven days. If OPIS has provided diesel prices, they will display along with regular, mid-grade, premium, and E85 availability. The information should be used as a guide for purchasing decisions, as prices do change frequently. Click the ‘Add to Itinerary’ link to include fuel locations in your trip itinerary.
