Lakeshore Drive, Chicago
‘
America’s Worst Driver’ continues its search for the worst driver in the country in Chicago this Sunday, March 28 at 10 p.m. E/P on Travel Channel.
AAA’s collaboration with Travel Channel as the official safety partner on the new reality competition continues as four new contestants will take on the roads of the largest metropolis in the Midwest. As in previous episodes, the city’s worst drivers will participate in a series of challenges while visiting some of the most iconic locations in the Chicago.
One such challenge will bring drivers to the same alley where the Valentine’s Massacre took place. On this spot on February 14, 1929, seven people were murdered as part of a conflict between two powerful gangs: the South Side Italian gang led by Al Capone and the North Side Irish gang led by Bugs Moran.
Chicago is home to many AAA GEM (Great Experiences For Members) attractions including:
Navy Pier, which originally served as a recreation pier with freight and passenger ship docking facilities

when it originally opened in 1916. Today, the restored pier is home to retail shops, a Ferris wheel and the Tony award-winning Chicago Shakespeare Theater and other family attractions.
Millennium Park, a 24.5-acre park featuring sculptures, gardens, a tree-lined promenade, a theater and fountains. The focal point is the Jay Pritzker Pavilion with its distinctive bandshell formed by huge folded ribbons of stainless steel.
Be sure to watch for safety tips from AAA’s driver training expert, Dr. William Van Tassel, also known as “Dr. Bill,” who will offer quick tips for viewers with
AAA’s Rules of the Road during special vignettes throughout the series run. AAA will also offer online driver improvement courses to all contestants participating in the show. See highlights from last week's episode in Boston
