'America's Worst Driver' In Dallas

Submitted by Community Manager, April 30, 2010
'America’s Worst Driver’ takes its search for the worst driver in the country to Dallas this Saturday, May 1 at 10 p.m. E/P on the Travel Channel. AAA’s collaboration with Travel Channel as the official safety partner on the new reality travel competition continues as four new contestants compete in Dallas, a city rich in western heritage.  As the saying goes, everything’s bigger in Texas, including the traffic.

Four of America’s worst drivers will navigate the streets of this vibrant city which is home to one of the largest urban arts districts in the United States. As in previous episodes, drivers will participate in a series of challenges as they travel the city passing iconic locations including Reunion Tower, Pioneer Plaza and Farmer’s Market.

Watch for safety tips from AAA’s driver training expert, Dr. William Van Tassel, also known as “Dr. Bill,” who will offer quick tips for viewers with AAA’s Rules of the Road during special vignettes throughout the series run. AAA will also offer online driver improvement courses to all contestants participating in the show.

See highlights from last week’s episode in New York here. And wherever you are, please drive safely.

Inspector 84Inspector 84 was born, raised, and still lives in the smallest of our great states, Rhode Island.  Growing up by the ocean meant learning how to dig for clams and shuck oysters by the time she was 7 years old, not realizing this would someday prepare her for a life of adventurous eating.  While in college, Inspector 84 began her career with AAA as an intern at the local Auto Travel call center.  She loved helping members plan their dream vacations and is happy to still be guiding them today.  She has always had a passion for traveling, experiencing nature, and learning about different cultures.  It has brought her on a quest to see all things beautiful in the 14 countries and 17 states she has visited.  Her favorite places tend to be sunny locales with turquoise waters and swaying palms including Mexico, Hawaii and the Florida Keys.  When not on the road, Inspector 84 enjoys spending time with family, photography, gardening, driving her husband mad with yet another house project and spending time at the neighborhood animal shelter.
