How do we access trip planning maps?
You can access TripTik Travel Planner online for easy mapping, directions and travel information. AAA/CAA members can get paper maps and TourBook guides free from their local AAA office.

Can you assist in obtaining an international driver's license?
AAA is authorized to issue an International Driving Permit (IDP), which is an official translation of your valid U.S. license. Some car rental companies may require an IDP to rent a car abroad. If your destination requires you to have a local driver’s license, please contact that country’s embassy for additional information. If you are in fact looking for an IDP, you can get it and the phots needed for the application at your local AAA office. To access an IDP application online, please click here.

I'll be driving west on I-90 and I-80 with a diesel car. I would like to know before I leave where all the diesel fuel stations are. Where can I find that information?
You can use TripTik Travel Planner to find more than 100,000 U.S. gas station locations and prices.  This online planning tool shows full-color maps of a trip, along with where to find gasoline stations and information from AAA TourBook guides on hotels, attractions, and restaurants.   The fuel feature shows the date when indicated prices were last updated and an ‘About Fuel Prices’ statement advising that the information be used as a guide for purchasing decisions, as prices do change frequently.  Fuel prices will display when the Oil Price Information Service (OPIS) has provided data over the last seven days.  If OPIS has provided diesel prices, they will display along with regular, mid-grade, premium, and E-85 availability. 

My grandchildren will be visiting this spring. Where can our family see dinosaurs near Boston, MA?
We think your best opportunity for dinosaur sighting would be at Boston Museum of Science in Science Park, where is currently a Dinosaurs: Modeling the Mesozoic exhibit.  For more information and a map to this attraction please click here and enjoy your grandchildren.

Do you have to be a member of AAA to use your travel agency?
No, travel agency services do not require membership. Of course, we think the other benefits of membership are worth the cost, including free maps, TourBook guides, discount on products and services and, of course, emergency road service!

There is a AAA parking area at Disney World. Do I have to pay to use it or just show my AAA card?
AAA Diamond Parking provides preferred parking in convenient spaces at all four Walt Disney World theme parks in Orlando.  AAA Diamond Parking is one of several exclusive benefits available to those who purchase a AAA Vacations package from your local AAA club or www.AAA.com/Disney. However, AAA Diamond Parking is also a benefit for members who purchase select multi-day Disney tickets at participating AAA offices or on AAA.com. How would I organize a 10-day trip in the area of Rocky Mountain, Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks?
The AAA TripTik Travel Planner is designed to help you plan just such a trip. In addition to planning your route from one park to the next, you can also read up on each one, see what else is along the way and find and book your hotel stays. The TripTik is fairly easy to use but clicking the “View Demo” button at the top right of the TripTik site will provide details on how to modify routes, create custom “My Places” maps, see lodging and restaurant information and more.

I want to book a rental car, but notice the rates change daily. If I book now, and learn of a lower rate before my trip, can I cancel the first reservation and re-book? If so, are there any charges?
There are several options for renting a car. We recommend that you check with the rental car agency while you are making the reservation to sure but in general, if you choose to prepay to lock in often discounted rates, then you will not be able to cancel the reservation without a penalty. If however you simply make a reservation without paying for it up front, you should be able to make changes. This latter option is less attractive if you are traveling at peak times. Does it cost anything to have a person help me with a RV trip from Minnesota to Utah and back?

Driving to NYC from Boston. Does AAA have an online tool showing construction routes (and dates) to avoid for a given road trip? 
AAA’s online trip planning tool, TripTik Travel Planner, does show construction information for a trip when the user creates a route (that’s the ‘Directions’ tab) It reflects current information and is updated weekly (every Thursday morning). For more specific information you might check the Connecticut, Massachusetts or New York Department of Transportation websites.
