My wife and I want to take a road trip from Medford, MA to Myrtle Beach, SC via the ocean route. Where are romantic places to stop and visit?
On your way south from Massachusetts, stop first in Cape May, New Jersey. Cape May is a quintessential seaside town with brightly colored homes and seasonally blooming gardens, magnificent beachfront inns, seafood restaurants along Fisherman's Wharf and of course the boardwalk (promenade) where you can shop, dine and pick up classic Jersey shore treats - fudge and salt water taffy. For romantic accommodations, check out Queen Victoria Bed & Breakfast, the Virginia Hotel or the Hotel Alcott. While you're there, stop by the Inn of Cape May located in the heart of the historic district. Just as guests have done for 110 years, you can take a stroll along the promenade, enjoy a rocker on the wrap-around porch with a grand view of the ocean or catch a horse-drawn carriage for a ride through town.

Planning a 7-10 day trip from Seattle to San Francisco on the coastal highway. How do I get info on this trip including attractions, hotels, etc. along the way?
Here are some options for getting routes and information:
(1) Use TripTik Travel Planner on AAA.com, click here to view this route which is nearly 900 miles (17 hours driving time). There are options to print, save or share the routing. Some tips: Click the Show button to display the icons containing information from AAA TourBook and CampBook guides on hotels, attractions, campgrounds, restaurants, places that offer AAA member savings, where to find gasoline stations, etc. (you may need to zoom in to see them). Replace the “City” line in the itinerary with your selected hotels or the address in each of your stopover cities, the attractions you plan to visit, and click Get Maps & Directions. I am trying to determine areas for a trip that are approx. 300 miles from my home.  Any thoughts on determining locations?

We are going from Florida to Old Lyme, CT by following Route 26, 77 to 81. Do you have a list of pet-friendly motels?
In print: AAA publishes Traveling with your Pet: The AAA PetBook® that lists accommodations and details for those that accept pets. You may find it at your local AAA office or at Barnes and Noble.  (You will need to log in with your membership ID if you haven’t done so already on AAA.com.)
Online: To find pet-friendly hotels online go to www.aaa.com/travel. Under Travel, Hotels then “more search options” simply choose “pets allowed” along with your dates, etc. Please note that some properties have size and type-of-pet restrictions and may also charge an additional fee so we recommend a quick call to confirm.
